More BIGGA Winners Will Head to TPC Sawgrass

John Deere is once again inviting BIGGA members to apply for next year's volunteer programme, meaning even more members will experience the career-changing opportunities than come with preparing one of the world's most iconic courses for one of golf's largest events.

Once again one member for each of BIGGA's five regions will be invited on to the all-expenses paid trip to Florida, where they will join around 75 greenkeepers from all over the world and ensure the course is in pristine condition for the event, held from 8-13 May 2018.

For the first time ever an additional member from overseas will also be invited to join the team, meaning six BIGGA delegates will be travelling to the US next year.
Still not convinced? Here are some of the things this year's delegates said about the experience:
Richard Johnstone, Dunbar: "The whole experience surpassed anything I had ever expected. I would highly recommend the programme to anyone who wants to be part of something very special."

Paul Walton, Sharpley Springs: "For and greenkeeper I would say to you, just give it a go. Get yourself out of your comfort zone and I promise it will be worth it."

Sam Evans, Fulwell: "It truly was the experience of a lifetime, one that none of the volunteers will be able to replicate again. Yes it is hard work, yes they are long days, yes you dont get much sleep, but what you do take away is priceless."

This is a fantastic opportunity for any greenkeeper that wishes to experience tournament support at a different level at one of the finest golf clubs in the world. There were over 200 greenkeepers on site this year to prepare for the tournament, played over 18 holes.

Please register your interest and submit you online application by 28th July 2017. Good Luck!
